Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Texas question.
I have paid 17 years worth of back taxs on a property the county had.
(all at once).
They say the only way to get title for this land is by Adverse Possession?
If this is so when does the clock start ticking for the 3,5, or 10 year rule.
Thanks
Walt

I am afraid you wasted your money. You can't claim adverse possession against a governmental entity. Also, on other property to claim adverse possession, you must actually "adversely possess" property for over 10 years and meet all requirements for such..
