I'm sorry to learn of your father's death. Before I can answer your question, I need to know the following:

1. When did your father die (year)?

2. Where did he die? (city, county, state)

3. Did your father have any other property?

4. Where is the house? (city, county, state)?

5. Did your father have any debts?

6. How did your father die?

There are a few different options, depending on the answers. I would also have to see the will.

Check with the title company that you plan to close with. Deending on the circumstances, it may be as simple as an affidavit of heirship. If they tell you it will be more complicated, then you will need to call an attorney.
