Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Timeshare

Approximately 1 year ago, I entered an agreement for a timeshare property near a lake west of dallas. I have serious regrets about doing so.

I would like to terminate the agreement. I have looked over the agreement and cannot see a termination option. However, I do not believe that it would be broadcast.

Is there a way to terminate such an agreement?

Re: Timeshare

There is a specific statute that governs what must be disclosed to you regarding a timeshare. You'll need to have the promotional and contractual documents examined to ensure that the timeshare provider complied with the law. Second, see if there some type of contractual language allowing a buyout. If there was no violations and there is no buyout, then you would have to try to negotiate out of the agreement or resell the property.
