Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Timeshare Property
I purchased time share property 3 years ago with the contract premis that it would be a 5 star property. The property was sold while still under construction and the new owners have a different set of standards for the property, currently only 4 star, and other property issues have yet to be addressed. The maintenance fee was raised from the original contract ammount due to new owners. I have spoken to the local property managers without hope of any changes soon forthcoming. Looking for someone to review my timeshare contract and suggest path forward.

Re: Timeshare Property
Unless the original developer of the timeshare units or the current manager of the units has engaged in fraud and misrepresentation, your rights will depend on the agreements you signed at the time you purchased the timeshare unit, and the "amendments" to those agreements which the new manager may be trying to impose. You should consult an attorney and have him or her review all of the documents.

Sounds like breach of contract, unless there is language in the contract allowing the builder/developer to change the product being delivered in the contract. Larry Maun 713.266.2560
