Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Title Of A Mobile Home
I had bought a mobile home on the property that I own out right. The title is concidered real a state. The people that bought the mobile from me lived on my property still owing me $1000.00. They did not pay me that money. They turned around and sold the mobile home to another couple, they went a head and bought the mobile home from them without the title 4 years ago. Now they are going file a lawsuit aganist me, for not turning over the title to them. I had exsplained to them that I do not have the money to seperate the title from real a state to personal property. If they want the title they would have to pay to seperate it. They are paying me $500.00 half of what the other people owe me. I do not think that it would be fair for me to have to use that money to seperate. They trespassed on my property while I was not at home did not give them consent to come on my property & take the mobile home off my place. They have done allot of damage to my property when they moved the mobile home. All they have is a signed bill of sale. My question is who is the judge going to be in favor of? I do not have any money to pay for a lawer nor do I have any money for a lawsuit. Please please help me!!!!......
Thank you,

Re: Title Of A Mobile Home
What a mess! You may qualify for free legal service given by volunteer attorneys. Go to www.texasbar.com and check with Legal Services in your area. If you owned your land outright, then the mobile home probably wasn't affixed to the real estate. The outcome of your case will depend on what you have in writing. If you have a contract for the additional 1,000 that they owe you, then you will probably win. If not, then it is your word against theirs. It could go either way depending on who can better prove up the case. Best of luck.
