Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Title tranfer ??

I am not sure if a title transfer is what I need but here is the question. We own multiple single family homes. Over the years different issues have come up with the names on the deeds on some. One list me a John while my name is Jason other have our LLC incorrect. Two are in my wifes maiden name and so on. Some have simply extra spaces in the LLC name i.e. XXX XXXX LLC while it should be XXXXXXX LLC. I can prove my wife and I or the LLC are the owners of all the properties in question. All the questionable properties are free and clear. Some properties are on Specialty Deeds if that matters. I have gone back to the title companies in the past with 0 results. Can I transfer these into my LLC or am I on the wrong track?

Thanks

Re: Title tranfer ??

Yes, you can transfer the title to any property that you or your spouse own into the LLC. You can also file correction affidavits where appropriate.

Sounds like you need an attorney to help you clean up the mess. One should be able to help you with correction deeds to get everything straightened out. Before transferring into an LLC, you should talk to an attorney to make sure you don't trigger any taxes or void any title policies.
