Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
Transfering mineral rights before I sell my home
I am in the process of selling my home. I have listed in the Listing Agreement that I will maintain mineral rights. I am finding that when the buyer finds out there are mineral rights involved they are insistant about having them convey. Can I transfer the mineral rights to another party then sell my home? If so do I have to list something on my disclosure? I am in North Texas.

Yes you can. The title commitment issued prior to closing will list the mineral conveyance, so the title to the property speaks for itself in that document.
