Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Travel Trailor

I have a Travel Trailor that my aunt wanted me and my brother to move to our property for her, she sent me the title that was not signed then she passed away. Her grand daughter called and wanted 5,000 for it and I said no come get it this thing is falling apart. It has now been 2 years and still nothing no contact from them or anything. We had a storm and it knocked it over so it is falling apart i was wondering if I can pay some one to haul it off and what do i do with the unsigned title do I sign it there is no way i can contact the grand daughter I do not even know where she lives. Do I have any rights because it has been taking up a pretty good section of my yard and now is torn up. Can I just give the person that is going to haul it off the title unsigned or sign it myself?

Re: Travel Trailor

Call TxDOT motor carrier division or the title dept. and they'll tell you what to do with the title of a destroyed trailer. Make sure you take pictures of the trailer now and while it is being hauled away. If you get any money for it, you can claim it as storage cost but I'd hold it anyway for a while longer just in case. From what you write, it wouldn't be much anyway.
