Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas
My wife is part of a group of siblings that is about to be served a tax injunction for back payment of taxes in City of Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, State of Texas. We have absolutely no interest in the property. Can she just pay her portion of the tax when the injunction is served and opt out of further legal proceedings or be taken off the list of owners? And, what are some other remedies?

How did your wife get on the chain of title? Did she inherit it? Are you able to locate all the siblings?
