Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Texas

Zoning abeyance

Question: if my property is in an area

being rezoned, currently accepted as a

case study by Dallas, and I am cited for

a code enforcement issue that would

specifically be addressed and resolved

in the rezoning, do I have any

protection to gain an abeyance until the

rezoning is finalized? I am a permit

holder in regard to this issue.

This is in regard to a shed that is 5 ft.

from the property line, code is requiring

it be 15 ft. It will be revised to 3 ft.

when the zoning change occurs.

Your best bet is to present this question to the agency who issued the citation.
