Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Texas

Obscene photos posted on internet without permission from subject

My son, age 29, took some nude photos of his 20 yr old girlfriend. She recently broke up with him, and in his anger at being shunned, he emailed a number of the photos to the email addresses of her college professors, friends, and family with intent to destroy her reputation. She is on the Dean's list at a religious university and will most likely be expelled because of this. Her parents have hired an atty and are pressing charges against him. What kinds of charges can they press and what kind of punishment can he expect if charged? Can he be arrested?

I DO NOT support him in his actions and am quite devastated that he has done this to this girl. Please advise. Thank you! JL
