Legal Question in Social Security Law in Texas

an ex fiance is giving out my social security number

my personal information about my bankruptcy and my social security number has been given to my neighbors in a 2 block area that I know of by my ex fiance. I am sure he is displaying my number to others I just don't know about yet. I don't feel safe knowing he is giving out my social security number and by not knowing now who has it and how they are using it. What rights to I have to protect my personal number? I have notify the social security office and they would do nothing. I notify the police they did nothing. I tried to get a new number but the office said since I am receiving money from SSI they won't change my number. How can I protect myself and my number and personal information???

Get a restraining order. You'll need evidence and testimony of witnesses to prove that he is distributing your SSN.
