Legal Question in Social Security Law in Texas

SSI Attorney quit working for me

I filed for SSI when injured. I went back to work, attorney mailed letter telling me he was no longer representing me. Year or so later I had Administrative Judge Hearing for SSI which I went to alone. Found credible and received SSI for time off work. Now I find that this attorney is receiving any IRS payments due to me and has been doing so for years. I was never notified of any judgment, nor how much he has collected to date.

What is my recourse? Thios comes up on my credit and he has already collect my last stimulus payment of 08 of $300 plus the years prior? Do I file a suit against said attorney, its on record that he dd not represent me?

You could file a grievance with the State Bar of Texas first. Sometimes that's faster. Look up State Bar on the internet or on the phone book. Good Luck.
