The company that I retired from began making contributions again to my 401K, in error. By the time I discovered this it had gone on for 6 months. What is the best way to handle this legally?

It is a mistake and the company should take the unwarranted contributions back and if it was reported to you, they should issue a corrected w2 or 1099
