Legal Question in Tax Law in Texas

My divorce was final in 2010 and I have three children. I have joint custody of the children but my x-wife has custody of them. I tried to arrange something in our divorce decree for tax purposes, but the rough draft was already written. Nothing says anything in the final decree about claiming the children for tax purposes each year. I am up to date on my child support and I pay for more then extra for them. I have heard that if I had been divorced before (2011) I could claim them, if I could show the days I have them are 50% of the time. I would like some advice on where I can show my CPA and if this is a true statement. I would like for this to be fair and I would like to claim 1 or 2 each year, instead of her getting all 3.
