Parents died 15 years ago. Estate still getting payment notices on worthless piece of property for property taxes. Estate has no money. County refuses to foreclose and take property for resale. What is obligation of children? This was lakefront property father purchased 25 yrs. ago and never developed.

You should contact a local real estate attorney because the Real Estate laws are different in each state. Remeber, you do not want this property in your name because it may contain environmental hazards (such as an underground oil tank) without first checking it out.
