Are "sales and use tax" and "franchise tax" two separate entities or do I have to file reports for both?
I started a small business for myself and then decided to close before any money was made - so I am reporting zero anyway, however; I also do the bookkeeping for another small business and want to make sure I am filing the correct reports. I file a 941 and pay online every quarter, but we received a notice about not filing franchise tax info.

They are two different taxes. Reports are due for both
