All living in California and receiving inheritance from someone who lived in Texas. As well as the affect on Social Security and Welfare, what is the affect on IRS taxes?

Re: Social Security & IRS for Inheritance
an inheritance is not subject to income taxes. it should also not affect social security as it is not earned income.
the inheritance may affect social security disability or welfare, however. in general, if the amount is over the base amount an individual is entitled to retain (varying depending upon the type of assistance received and the applicable law and regulation), it will offset any normal payments for a period of time.
