.Title transfer
My friend sold her car to a co-worker and signed the title over to her. The co worker has some legal troubles now and the car Texas plates are still in sellers name. She received a summons to appear in court because of this and her still being the registered owner of car, does she have any chance of clearing this up?

Re: .Title transfer
Actually, I have a client who experienced this very same situation. He had to file an answer in the lawsuit and was able to prove that he had sold the vehicle before the events occurred which were the subject of the lawsuit. I would suggest that your friend seek legal counsel to determine her appropriate course of action.
