I will be moving to US on a L1 visa along with my spouse and two kids (8 yrs and 5 yrs). I will keep getting paid in my home country and a per day-diem during my stay in the US.
What will be the tax liability on me during my US stay. Also I heard that the schooling in US is free.. would that also apply if I enter in US on a L1 visa?

Taking the second question first, public schools in the United States are free. Schools are generally funded by property tax, if you will own a home or lease a place to live, part of your rent or obligations will be property tax and so you will be paying for the school that way. AS far as income tax goes, if you are subject to income tax in the united states, your entire worldwide income is subject to tax, except that which is taxed somewhere else,(like your home country)
