Email harassment

Is there a law to cover harassing emails sent to employees about another employee that is mean, 'watch out' type email, lies. They come everyother day with different anonymonus (sp) names. Our IT dept. is monitoring, but is there a way to get the servers to release the name attached to the phony addresses. It is becoming scary and disruptive.

This is a crime in Texas; so you could ask the local police or the TX Attorney General's Office to investigate it. Your IT people should be able to get it stopped if the hosting company and registrar cooperate, but it takes some effort to follow this up.
