Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

At approximately 5:00pm on Monday, October 4th I was driving in the left lane on the west bound service road to Texas State Highway 183 in Irving, TX in between MacArthur Boulevard & Story Road. A Texas State Trooper was behind me during this time. As I approached the yield sign I did a proper yield and started along my way, however as I started to accelerate past the yield a school bus pulled over to the right side of the street right next to the EMBASSY apartment complex. I DID see the bus stop however felt it was unsafe to STOP for the bus due to the fact that I felt the traffic exiting the highway would not recognize the sudden traffic stop and as I drove through the area the bus turned on the flashing lights to let the children exit the bus. Of course as that happened the officer pulled me over. I have no problem with the cop doing his job. But I feel like it was an unsafe environment for two different reasons. #1: How is it safe to let children out by the side of the highway rather than unload them IN THE APARTMENT COMPLEX and #2: Common sense suggests that a child WILL NOT RUN ONTO THE HIGHWAY... If that was an issue you wouldn't be LETTING THEM OUT ON THE SIDE OF A SERVICE ROAD WITH TRAFFIC COMING TOWARDS THEM! My family and I are on hard times financially and really have no easy way of paying for this other than a payment plan but that still takes money away from my family. I participated in a defensive driving program less than 6 months ago due to a prior stop in Watauga, TX for going 40mph in a 25mph park zone that I had not realized I was in so I believe I don't have that for an option. Is there any other way to take care of this? Community service? Thank you, William Hyden.

Get a lawyer that does traffic tickets. They should be able to negotiate a a better deal than the maximum fine and get you on a payment plan.
