Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
two citations for same offense within 13 hours?
rec'd ticket for expired inspection sticker coming from work late. 13 hours later, next morning, same city police, different cop, got another ticket for same thing. Officer did not want to see my previous ticket and gave me a second for same offense. It this legal? Can I file a complaint against second officer?

This will vary from city to city, however, IF you get the sticker updated within 10 days, then many towns will dismiss the ticket.
IF you have get the sticker updated before going to court, and demonstrate your inability to get it before the second one was issued, the prosecutor would probably cut you a deal on the first one, and dismiss the second one.
