Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Click It or Ticket law for the State of Texas, I'd like to know where this law comes from? I've found one line that stated it passed in September of 2009 and just hasn't been used. I went through The Texas laws website and could not find where it had been passed by the Legislature. I think the laws is a good idea, but was just wondering if it had went through the law making process. I've noticed this seems to be a country wide push and was thinking this might be the Federal Govt. that came up with this law.

This is a state law, effective on September 1, 2009. Often the legislature postpones enforcement for a period of time, in order to educate the public about the changes. You can find the law in the Transporation Code, Chapter 545 (specifically 545.412 and following).
