Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
My daughter was ticketed for parking in a handicap parking space on a Texas college campus. She did pull into the space while her friend ran into her dorm to get her keys. My daughter did not get out of her car and the engine was still running. It was 1:30 am and they were just trying to get close to the dorm door knowing it was only be a few minutes. Two campus policemen approached her and wrote a ticket with a fine of $600. She appears before a judge.
Was this fair?

No.
She should tell all this to the Judge, who will probably let her off the hook.
Be sure to have her tell the Judge that THERE WERE NO HANDICAPPED PEOPLE ANYWHERE AROUND and that she was there only <> minutes.
