Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

I am currently on deferred disposition for a speeding ticket from the City of Meadows Place in Houston, Texas until Dec 31, 2009. I received a red light camera violation from the City of Sugar Land , texas in November with a due date to pay by December 16, 2009. I heard that this violation does not go on your driving record, but will it count as a violation of my deferred disposition probation if I pay?

I don't know the answer to your question but have some ideas that might help if the camera ticked counts.

Check to see if your Meadows Place Deferred Disposition is violated by a conviction or a charge. If you must be convicted to violate the deferred disposition, then get a lawyer to reset the Sugarland case to a date after December 31. Then pay the Sugarland Ticket or ask for deferred disposition.

If a charge will violate the deferred disposition, most deferred dispositions require a "similar offense" in order to be violated. You could argue that speeding and running a red light are not similar offenses.
