Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
deferred judification
My 19 year old son received a speeding ticket yesterday and has already taken defensive driving for a previous ticket. My question is two fold. 1. What is deferred judification?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of deferred judification?
Thanks,

Re: deferred judification
Real basic:
On deferred you acccept the terms set out by the judge. For example: you agree to not get moving violation - ticket in 5 months. If you do...then he will be responsible for both tickets. If he complies, then ticket can esentially comes off his record. To seal the record after completing the deferred, you can go back to court after the 5 months and file a Motion for Nondisclosure of Deferred Adjudication.
