Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
driving with an expired drivers license
I live in the state of TX. I was pulled over for an expired emmision tag. I was driving with an expired drivers license. I got a ticket for both. Immediately I got the car done and a drivers license. Are there existing cases where the expired license portion was dismissed? I have not had a ticket for over 15 years. I was driving to my ofc to come to the aid of my husband who was fighting off a broken hot water main from destroying our office.

Re: driving with an expired drivers license
Maybe. Different courts have different policies regarding automatic dismissals. I might be worth your while to pay an attorney to handle it for you. The inspection sticker, if not too far out of date, might be an automatic dismissal. The license would then probably result in deferred.
