Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
failure to control speed ticket
had a recent fender bender without any damage or anyone being hurt.however i was issued a ticket .on the ticket the officer wrote in the wrong year for my birthday that he trascribed from my driver license.the year was 1962 instead of 1963.can i beat this ticket on a technicality.

Probably not, as the court is not likely to consider the error in your date of birth as material to the charge. If it is a trial setting, then the officer can correct the mistake by his testimony. If the officer is not present for the trial setting, then the ticket gets dismissed.
