Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Force Majeure
While driving on a freeway in inclimate (icy/sleet) weather and changing lanes, I hydroplaned on ice and collided with median. No other vehicles stopped nor were involved. I received a citation for ''failure to maintain control''. Why??? The situation was obvious with regards to the weather conditions outside that it was beyond my control.

Re: Force Majeure
You can either take deferred (if offered); or contest the matter at trial on the basis of the weather conditions.
