Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Hit and run
My husband was hit driving to work, the driver fled, my husband followed and called 911. He reported the license plate and was instructed to stop following. He was given a report and the plates were run. Now our car is damaged, my husband lost wages at work, and we dont even know if the police will do anything to find the driver. What do we do?

First of all, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Make a point to politely call them every three or four days.
Then notify your insurance company of the plate -- they can find him.
Run an online background check, find the plates owner and take the information to the police.
