Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Hit and Run liability
My vehicle was hit while parked. After the initial investigation the person was located. Do I have any recourse for reinbusement for damages. Police have issued a warrant but no arrest has been made. I have the name of the person who was responsible.

Re: Hit and Run liability
Your best course of action is to claim with your own insurance company and then let them seek reimbursement from the responsible party. This is not the type of claim that will raise your premiums because you didn't do anything wrong. You can take the time and effort to go after the responsible person, but why bother?? This is why you pay for insurance. Let your own company pay you and then do the dirty work.
