Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
leaving the scene of a solo accident
I was wondering if I am in any trouble because I hit a tree with my car and left the accident. The police found the car and had it towed, then mentioned about filing charges. No one was injured and no other car was involved. The tree I think, was on city property.

Get a lawyer -- it can probably be worked out -- if the tree was valuable and damaged, you may have to pay for a new tree. Unlikely that they will try to make it a criminal matter.
