Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Am I legally responsible to fix this ladies car?
Over a year ago my neighbor, who was moving, pushed her car across the street from my house. I accidentally backed into it. She told me not to worry about it as the car was not running.
Now, over a year later, she has the car running and insists that I fix her car immediately. My husband thinks that we aren't responsible anymore because it has been so long without contact from her and she told us not to worry about it. Please advise.

The statute of limitations has not run on the accident, however, it is possible that laches has. Was her car blocking your driveway? If not, you may need to try to settle this with her.
