Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
I currently live in Flint, MI but I have a suspended license from a violation 3 years ago issued in Texas. The ticket was from speeding and no insurance which had lapsed at the time. I am not sure what county the ticket was issued in since I was on a trip from San Antonio to Houston at the time. Should I seek legal help to resolve this matter since I am currently living in another state or is this something I can handle on my own?

It depends on the cause of the suspension. Did you handle the tickets at the time and the suspension is solely because you have not paid the penalty for the lack of insurance. If so, you can contact the Austin license bureau to find out what fees and documents (proof of insurance) that are still owed on the ticket. If it is because you failed to appear at the original court date, then you need to get a lawyer.
