Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
I live in Texas. 15 years ago I got a speeding ticket. I took a safe driving course to dismiss it but failed to finish the paperwork before I moved to Asia for 10 years. Now I am back and have been told there is a warrant out on me. Is the warrant valid after all this time?

Probably. It's hard to say without seeing the file. Generally, when you are out of the state, it tolls the statute; particularly on a failure to appear. You will probably need to hire a lawyer, post a cash bond in the amount of the fine to get it taken out of warrant status, and back onto the court's docket.
