Possession Charge

Can a cop charge two people with possession of marijuana 2-4 oz. when he finds less than 4 oz. total in the vehicle? One bag was in the console and the other in my personal bag.

Although a proper answer requires the question to be very fact specific, the general answer is yes. Its up to the prosecuting attorneys to make a proper case of this incident. The charges may change. Based on the information on hand at the time, its obvious the police felt it appropriate to charge two people.
