Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Can private companies issue fines for parking violations? I was parked in my company's garage and received a fine of $20 for an offense that I would like to argue. However, there is no recourse offered other than pay the fine "immediately" or the fine jumps to $50 and turned over to a collection agency. Is this legal?

Don't pay the "fine." If they push it, tell them you're going to call the Dallas Morning News. They love to put stories like this on the front page.
