Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Received a citation for doing 32mph in a 30mph. However turns out I was in a school zone (speed limit 20mph). School zone has no flashing lights, and sign was hidden behind trees from the direction I was going. Having 3 children myself, I am all about safety and school zones, but they need to do something to make people more aware that it is indeed a school zone. My question is if I can file deferred judication on a citation of this kind.

Yes you can ask for deferred. You may also want to take pictures of the sign blocked from view, and negotiate with the prosecutor for a dismissal.
