Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
I received a court summons for parking a oversized truck in front of my home. No ticket or warning just a commons for court. Problem, I do not hold a Texas drivers license (I do not drive at all) the truck is in my husbands name, not mine, the license tags are in his name, not mine, but the court summons was in my name and I must appear. I did not park the truck nor have I ever driven a car or truck. My husband has had the truck for four years, parked in front numerous times, no problem. We had to leave town and parked in front and the summons says it was observed on the first day we left. Must I appear even though the summons should be to my husband?
