Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
I recently received a ticket in TX for passing in a school zone. I never changed lanes but the officer said the sign also means not to drive past anyone in the lane next to me. I believe the sign is too vague and can be misinterpreted. The officer made a big deal about my driving past him and the car in front of him, which were both at a complete stop. I'm guessing he expected me to stop parallel to his car and impede traffic? I am going before the judge tomorrow. Do I have a case?
