Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
I recieved a red light ticket via the intersection cameras in Houston. I was late on amber and didn`t make it. The notice states that failure to pay in a timely manner results in a 25.00 late fee. Then in the (notes) it states that if the owner of the motor vehicle fails to pay the amount of the civil penalty, an arrest warrent may not be issued for the owner and the imposition of the civil penalty may not be recorded on the owner`s driving record. My question is "What`s the incentive here to pay this?"
Thanks, G H

You will be prevented from registering the vehicle the ticket was issued to if you refuse to pay the penalty.
