Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Responsibility in final judgment...
A document titled FINAL JUDGMENT, reads, in part, as follows: ...do have and recover judgment against defendants x and y, jointly and severally, in the amt of xxxx...
One of these defendants has claimed bankruptcy. What happens to the other defendant? Is he responsible for the amount?

Being joint and several, you can collect the full amount from one or the full amount from all. The non-bankrupt person can discuss with the bankrupt person how, when, and if he/she will reimburse him/her for paying the other's share. Your concern is only to collect the judgment you were awarded.
