Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
speeding ticket
In August of 2005 2 days before I moved to Hawaii I got a speeding ticket in
Texas. In the move I let the ticket behind in Texas and it was forgotten. By
the time any communication was sent to me my court day was over and they
issued a arrest warrant for me. What can be done. Will this warrant stop me
from getting a Hawaiian drivers license.

Re: speeding ticket
It might.
Invest the money in an attorney in the town or precinct where you got the ticket. The attorney can post the cash bond for you (you will have to pay a cash bond in the amount of the maximum fine), get a court date, and resolve your ticket for you. It can be done without you here, but you will have to compensate the attorney for their time and effort. Usually the fine is deducted from the cash bond.
