Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
First speeding ticket in Dallas county
I got pulled over for speeding, 85 in a 60. This is my first ticket--I've only had one warning before this, and it wasn't for speeding. Is there a chance I'll get a break since my record so far is clean, even though I've only been driving for three years? Is it feasible to ask if I can take deferred adjudification or something so that this doesn't go on my record?

You may end up needing a lawyer. Often prosecutors/judges will not offer deferred for 25 miles over the speed limit. If deferred is offered, then it will be dismissed at the end of the probationary period.
