is there a statue of limitations on traffic tickets

There is a statue of limitations on filing criminal charges. Traffiic offenses are criminal charges. Usually they are class C misdemeanors. Once the charge is filed, the statute of limitations is tolled. If no capias or complaint is filed with the court after the statute of limitations passes, one cannot be filed afterwards.
