Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Statute of Limitation on Traffic Ticket?
Two years and 11 months ago, I received a ticket for speeding(69 in a 55 on I-10) and no insurance. I was moving into Texas at the time with a driver's license from Mississippi. I obtained a Texas Driver's license 2 weeks later. I failed to appear for the court date the following month, was sited with Failure to Appear and received an bench warrant notice in the mail. I was wondering what the statute of limitations were for each of the 3 charges, and if I need to worry about the city of Houston being able to suspend my Texas license and can I 'safely check' (I was able to register my car the past two years, if that helps).

Re: Statute of Limitation on Traffic Ticket?
just pay the tickets or post a bond and get a court date. The headaches that an outstanding traffic ticket can cause is not worth the hassle.
