Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas

street racing

last night there were 2 cars side by side they were doing 40-45 on a 50 they get pulled over and they got lock up becasuse the officer said they were racing how can he say that ,he had hes lights off and he did not use a radar gun to clock them he said they saw the car from the front headlight jump,the car has loud pips and its a six speed when you shift gears it makes it sound loud,,so why did he get the impression they were street racing ,,,when we have wittness saying they werent,,is there a law saying you cant be side by side with another viechal,, the car were a corvett and a camaro,, do we stand a chance with this if we plea not guilty,,it was a class b misterminer ,,

Bluntly, street racing is a difficult charge to beat. Especially if there was a camera in the cop's car. His testimony is likely to be very strong. Sometimes this can get reduced to speeding or reckless driving, with deferred. You need a lawyer to review the court file and properly advise you as to your options.
