Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
ticket from 1994
I came home today 9/8/09 to find a warrant for my arrest in my mailbox. It was for a no insurance ticket that i don't even remember getting in 1994. I now live in MA and the ticket is from Tx. Isn't there some sort of time limit. It has been 14 years. I lived with parents and was on their insurance then. It is also addressed as my married name. I did not get married until 1995.

Re: ticket from 1994
Get a lawyer in the town/county where you got the ticket. If you have been out of the state the entire time, then the statute of limitations is tolled while you are out of the state. In the meantime there is an active warrant for your arrest (although it is unlikely that you would be extradited).
