Legal Question in Traffic Law in Texas
Traffic Citation
I live in Arlington, Texas, Tarrant County. I received a ticket for Failure to dim headlights to oncoming traffic and for no license plate lights visable within 50 feet. I went to the pre trial hearing in June of 2006. I actually got the ticket on February 25,06. I plead not guilty. Is there a statue of limitations on the Trial date. Its now jan, 2008 and I have yet to receive a court date.

Re: Traffic Citation
Are you sure? Have you moved during that time? Have you contacted the court to insure that nothing has happened?
A motion to dismiss for failure to prosecute might succeed, however, I would be inclined to wait a full two years. (sleeping dogs...)
